Linda, "The Thank You Lady"
Here is Linda, the “Thank You Lady." If you have donated blood at Suncoast Communities Blood Bank you most likely received a phone call from Linda Hartnett to say THANK YOU. She makes over 100 calls a day, and her calls often go beyond thanking donors for their recent donation. She listens and responds to each caller’s comments, concerns, and any request they might have. “We live in a world where little things like a simple ‘thank you’ are easily overlooked. I often hear donors thanking me for making their day because of that call. When I brighten someone’s day with a thank you, I feel personally rewarded!”

We Love Our Volunteers!
Meet Laurie Picard, a seven-year Sarasota resident and six-year SCBB volunteer. Twice a week Laurie takes her seat at our volunteer center, and performs whatever tasks that come her way. She volunteers her time because she is unable to donate blood. “I just want to help in any way I can. I enjoy the time I spend here at SCBB, mostly because of the people I interact with”.
